This piece of music is powerful and stimulating and, yes, very relevant to today's world. I'm not a music student but the emotional pitch reminds me of the gospel music I used to hear while walking past some of the churches in my South Bronx neighborhood as a child fifty years ago. Rather than solemn prayer it sounded like they were having a really good time in there. I guess worship is supposed to make you feel good not sad.
