What a lesson in voice control and phrasing, another of the under rated greats of music history. Singers listen and learn. I have never heard Carmens version of this song and on this night of discovery I thank you "jazzy" for helping me throgh this journey. Happy Valentines Day World!

I place her in the same class as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn and Barbra Streisand........great company indeed.

Am not sure how I missed your comment....so Sorry for responding to late...Yes, Carmen is the one that can bounce the words off the music sheets and place them right before our eyes....visually I can picture her standing outside of a window right now singing this song to her lover....and I am on the other side of the window looking out at her...lol...not many can do this with song. She is just so Wonderful and am glad she left all these gems behind!
